NABSP Joins the Chicago Bulls for Holiday Food Drive
On Saturday, December 12, 2009, the Chicago Bulls, Midway Moving and Storage, & Vienna Beef hosted a holiday food drive to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Prior to the Bulls’ home game against the Boston Celtics, fans were encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at any of the United Center admission gates. The Chicago chapter of NABSP (National Association of Black Sports Professionals) volunteered in what turned out to be the largest in game food collection in the history of Greater Chicago Food Depository netting 20,034 lbs of food.
